Police Logs: Saks Belt Thief Caught on Tape, Arrested

James Teheen, of 589 Broadway, Apt. B, Revere, was arrested Thursday at 6:20 p.m. and charged with shoplifting after allegedly stealing a brown Louis Vutton belt worth $460.
Loss prevention officers at on 786 Boylston Street apprehended Teheen as he left the store. Video surveillance showed him remove a security device from the belt, put it in his pocket, and leave.
The day before, the store had been robbed of several belts worth thousands of dollars, so the security officers were watching the belt rack closely, they told police.
