Public Meeting on Newbury Street Water Main Replacement Project
On Aug. 11 discuss the construction to take place from Arlington to Gloucester streets, with interruption to water service and other daily impacts.
The public can weigh in on a water main replacement project for Newbury Street during a meeting on Thu, Aug. 11 at 6 p.m. at the Boston Public Library.
The Boston Water and Sewer Commission will present information on the construction, which will take place from Arlington to Gloucester streets, and what will be done to minimize impacts to the community.
"Water main work will occur within each intersection resulting in water main impacts on every intersecting street from Arlington Street to Gloucester Street, generally on block back," according to the public announcement.

Other impacts will include water service interruption, noise, traffic, parking changes, dust and general construction.
The replacement of the water main will improve the overall system, and is part of the Commission's capital improvement program.
