Screaming Man on Beacon Street Arrested After Breaking Two Pots

Police arrested a screaming man on Beacon Street, who broke two pots outside a residence he said he was trying to visit at 3:22 a.m. on Friday.

Officers responded to a call for a person screaming at 198 Beacon St. On arrival, they saw him "attempting to enter a residence by pulling and pushing aggressively on the door knob," according to a release.

They also noticed two broken pots -- one at the top of the stairs, and the other at the bottom -- with the contents "spilled and strewn about the stairs and sidewalk," the release said.
When asked about it, the suspect told officers he may have accidentally knocked them over. When asked what he was doing in the area, he stated he was trying to visit a friend, the release said.

When asked who the friend was, police say he provided several different names. Police also noted he appeared to be intoxicated.
