Tazhayakov, Boston Marathon Bomber's Friend, Gets 42 Months

He is one of two accomplices to be sentenced on June 5, 2015; he will get some credit for time served and then, be deported.

Azamat Tazhayakov, a college roommate of Boston Marathon Bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, was sentenced in U.S. District Court to 42 months in prison for obstruction of justice on June 5, 2015.

According to WHDH-TV, he will get credit for 26 months already served and will serve 16 more before he is deported.

Robel Phillipos is also expected to be sentenced today. Earlier this week, Dias Kadyrbayev was sentenced to 72 months in the case.

Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, who was sentenced to death on May 15, 2015, for his role in killing four people and injuring hundreds in the 2013 bombings and police action that followed, will be sentenced later this month.
