Vandalism and Purse Snatchers in the Logs

The following incidents took place in Back Bay:

Sat. Feb. 12

• Police towed a motor vehicle on Beacon Street at 12:42 a.m.
• Eliezer Torres Ortiz, of 545 Massachusetts Ave. was arrested in his home at 1:29 a.m. and charged with assault and battery.
• Police responded to an assault and battery on 102 Dartmouth St. at 1:59 a.m.
• Police investigated a person on Marlborough St. at 10:18 a.m.
• Pollice investigated property at 294 Commonwealth Ave. at 4:03 a.m. 
• Claudia Lord, of 1589 Beacon St., Apt. 7, Brookline, was arrested at 4:21 p.m. and charged with shoplifting over $200 from 786 Boylston St.
• Police responded to 645 Beacon St. at 5 p.m. for a report of larceny over $200 from a vehicle. 
• Police responded to 205 Berkeley St. at 10:24 p.m. for a report of a purse snatcher.

Sun, Feb. 13

• Police responded to a report of vandalism at 9:11 a.m. at 654 Beacon St.
• Police investigated property at 11 Newbury St. at 12:17 p.m.
• John Murphy, of 60 Derby St. Apt. 2, Somerville, was arrested at 3:32 p.m. at 829 Boylston St. and charged with larceny over $200.
• Police responded at 4:45 p.m. to 4 Newbury St. for a report of shoplifting over $200.
• Police responded to 266 Newbury St. at 6 p.m. for a report of larceny over $200 from a vehicle.
• Police responded at 8 p.m. to Arlington Street for a report of larceny between $50 and $199  from a vehicle.

Mon, Feb. 14

• Police towed a car from 170 Commonwealth Ave. at 9:30 a.m. 
• Police responded to 551 Boylston St. at 11 a.m. for a report of larceny between $50 and $199.
• Police received a report of vandalism at 18 Exeter St. at 11:47 a.m.
• Police responded to a report of vandalism at 341 Beacon St. at 9 p.m.
• Police responded to a report of a purse snatcher at 551 Boylston St at 12 p.m. 

Tue, Feb. 15

• Police responded to 955 Boylston St. at 1:30 a.m. for a report of larceny over $200.
• Police responded to 551 Boylston St. at 10 a.m. for a report of larceny over $200.
• Police responded to 189 Ipswich St. at 11 a.m. for a report of property damage and a motor vehicle leaving the scene.
• Eugenio Vega-Vazquez, of Pilgrim Shelter on Columbia Road, Dorchester, was arrested at 11:15 a.m. and charged with larceny over $200 at 760 Boylston St.
