2 Barnstable Teens Broke Into 7 Cars: Police

Barnstable police said two teens stole three guitars, prescription medication, a GPS, and a cell phone, among other items.

BARNSTABLE, MA — Two Barnstable teenagers were arrested Thursday and found with a cache of stolen items, police said.

Sabrina Croft, 18, and an unnamed 17-year-old allegedly broke into several vehicles and stole whatever they could find, police said.

Barnstable Police Officer Kevin Fullam said he saw the pair Thursday at about 2:30 a.m. acting suspiciously in the back parking lot of the Holiday Inn on Route 132. When he got closer, he said he saw them trying to break into a truck. They then fled back to their vehicle, police said.

A search of the vehicle turned up a cache of stolen property, including three guitars, prescription medication, a wallet, a GPS, headphones, a cell phone, and other items.

  • Seven counts of breaking into a vehicle
  • Attempted breaking and entering
  • Receiving stolen property

They were arraigned and released on personal recognizance. Police said they returned most of the stolen property to the rightful owners.
