2 Great White Sharks Spotted Just 20 Yards Off Cape Cod Shore
This was the second shark sighting off Nauset Beach that the Sharktivity app reported in the last week.
ORLEANS, MA — Two great white sharks were spotted swimming in shallow waters close to shore off a popular Cape Cod beach Tuesday afternoon, according to the Atlantic White Shark Conservancy.
The sharks were just 20 yards off the coast of Nauset Beach in Orleans, the conservancy's Sharktivity app reported just before 1 p.m.
The app did not say whether the beach was closed to swimming — though Cape Cod beaches are typically closed for at least an hour following a shark sighting.
