For 2nd Time This Month, $2 Million Lottery Ticket Sold At MA Diner
The take-out eatery and convenience store has now handed out a total of five million-plus winning tickets since 2024.
NANTUCKET, MA — Just a few weeks after a lucky island resident scored a $2 million lottery ticket at a local diner, it’s handed out another that’s equally valuable.
The Old South Diner on Wednesday sold a winning Powerball ticket worth $2 million, according to the Massachusetts Lottery website. The ticketholder wasn’t immediately identified.
The prize-winning purchase follows another at the diner on March 4, when Yancy Contreras Menjivar hit the jackpot in the state’s $2,000,000 Stacked drawing.

The Old South Diner, at 57 Old South Road, has now sold million-dollar lottery tickets five times over the past two years, according to the Nantucket Current.
The winning numbers for the Powerball game on Wednesday were 7, 21, 55, 56, and 64, with the Powerball 26, plus a 4X Powerplay.
