4 Shark Sightings Across Cape Cod, Massachusetts Over July 4 Weekend
Shark sightings continue coming in as the summer hits a peak, including two on the evening of July 4.

CAPE COD, MA — Four sharks were spotted across the Cape and Islands over the July 4 weekend, according to the Sharktivity app.
The first of the long weekend came near Sandwich around 6:30 p.m. on July 2.
Another sighting on Nantucket came on July 3 around 4:30 p.m. Sharktivity reports that lifeguards called swimmers out of the water after seeing a shark just 15-feet off the beach.

The third sighting of the weekend came near Green Harbor on July 4 around 5:45 p.m., with another July 4 sighting at Nauset Beach when, according to the app, a shark attacked a seal.
This comes a few days after Massachusetts State Police posted aerial video of a shark sighting roughly 150-feet from the shoreline off Race Point Beach in Provincetown.

The Sharktivity app, supported by the Atlantic White Shark Conservancy, tracks shark sightings across Massachusetts, most of which come on Cape Cod, Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard.
