WAREHAM, MA — Two Cape Cod-area men are charged with drug offenses — including cocaine trafficking — after a traffic stop in Wareham this week.

Shortly before midnight on Sept. 10, troopers stopped a red Ford Fusion that didn't have an inspection sticker.

Three people, including Emanuel Torres, 19, of Onset, and Jamary Santiago Pires, 19, of Wareham, were inside the car, which was driven by Torres.

Officials said they smelled marijuana and observed "signs of impairment," prompting them to conduct a field sobriety test on Torres.

During that process, troopers found "several bags" containing what they believed to be crack cocaine in Torres's possession.
