Barnstable COVID-19 Rates Improve Again, But Still Above State
Barnstable had 97 cases in the last two weeks, or 15.5 daily cases per 100,000 residents. That's down from last week's rate of 24.4.
BARNSTABLE, MA — Barnstable's coronavirus metrics saw vast improvements, but still remain well above the state average, according to data the Massachusetts Department of Public Health released Thursday.
Barnstable's positive test rate fell from 7.19 percent to 5.24 percent. But as of Thursday, that's still well above the state average rate of 1.8 percent.
Barnstable had 97 cases in the last two weeks, or 15.5 daily cases per 100,000 residents. That's down from last week's rate of 24.4.

The state also reported that Barnstable has 82.8 percent of its residents fully vaccinated. Nearly 44 percent of Barnstable residents have gotten the booster.
