Barnstable High Grad Killed In Apparent Miami Murder-Suicide
Three people are dead after what police are calling an apparent murder-suicide. Two were hockey teammates at New England College.
MIAMI, FL — A Barnstable High School graduate was killed in what Miami Dade police are calling an apparent murder-suicide.
Police said Meghan Moore, 25, was shot by her boyfriend Luis Napoles, 40, who then shot her roommate, Sidney Capolino, 23, before shooting himself.
Moore, a 2017 Barnstable graduate, and Capolino were teammates on the New England College hockey team.

According to a police statement, officers responded to a condo unit at 7004 SW 40 St., in Miami, when they found a woman later identified as Moore outside of the unit suffering from a gunshot wound. While on the scene with Moore, officers heard another shot from inside the unit.
Police evacuated the building and then entered the condo, where they discovered Capolino and Napoles, who both had gunshot wounds. All three were pronounced dead at the scene.

Word has spread across New England, including on the campus of New England College, where the president has issued a statement.
It reads:
"Dear New England College Community,
I am writing to you today to share some tragic news. Two recent New England College graduates, Sidney Capolino ’22 and Meghan Moore ’21, were killed this past weekend in Florida. Meghan and Sidney were known to many on campus, and we are deeply saddened by this devastating news. We are keeping Sidney and Meghan’s families and friends in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.
As we pause to process the gravity of the event, it is important that we support and care for each other. If you need support, counseling services are available at the NEC Wellness Center. While it is Spring Break the next two weeks and many of you are not here on campus, please know that our staff are here for you and able to support you.
