BARNSTABLE, MA —The Barnstable Police Department donated $2,000 to Cape Cod Healhcare's breast cancer center.

The money came from the sale of pink police patches, hats, shirts and face masks through the department's "Pink Patch" initiative.

The Pink Patch Project is a nationwide awareness campaign where police departments sell pink patches during October which is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
