Barnstable's Destination ImagiNation Team Takes First, Moves On

Two teams from Barnstable Schools placed at the state competition.

Two Barnstable School District gateway program Destination ImagiNation teams competed at the State Bowl last week and one is moving on to the global competition. 

BHS juniors Emma Boudreau, Emma Crowley, Aurelio DiMuzio, Kathryn McDonald, and Julia Wareham coached by Beth Manhardt and Denise Holzman took first place in in Triple Take Road Show. They also won the Renaissance Award for exceptional creativty or skill in the areas of engineering, design, or performance to boot.

Fifth graders from Barnstable Horace Mann Charter School Hailey Allen, Hans Baumler, Nora Canaday, McKenzie Connor, Harry McDonald, Morgan Nailor, and Sam Trelegan, coached by Amy Canaday, competed in Verses! Foiled Again! and took fifth place overall and second place in their Instant Challenge.

The Destination ImagiNation Global Competition is in May, at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
