Dennis Port: Calling all pie bakers! Are you a whiz with a pastry crimper? Do you get a kick out of a dusting of flour, and love the feel of a rolling pin between your hands? You should seriously consider making a pie for Dennis Port General Store’s Annual Best Pie in Town Contest on November 9th. “It’s a tough job judging this contest, but someone has to do it,” jokes Joe LaBelle, Best Pie Contest organizer. “Our judges take their job seriously, judging for flavor, texture, crust, and overall taste.”
This is a dessert pie contest (for homemade pies only), and three winners will be selected. The prize for 1st Place is a $100 gift certificate and second and third place winners will also win prizes.
