BHS Chapter of French Honor Society Grows

Thirteen new students were inducted into the national society.

On May 16, 2011, the Barnstable High School Chapter of the Société Honoraire de Français or French Honor Society, under the auspices of the American Association of Teachers of French, inducted 13 new members. 

The new members are:  Katherine Anzola, Tony Da Lomba, Melissa Petri DaSilva, Jake Donehey, Victoria Fiske, Marissa Galanti, Sara Hickey, Breanna Johnson, Molly Marcotte, Emma Marshall-Torres, Erin O'Day, Kayla Salmon and Dylan Tierney.  Students who qualify for the Société Honoraire de Français must have obtained a cumulative "A" average in their French classes. 

While members of this honor society students have provided peer tutoring, shared their academic experiences with the Grade 8 class, volunteered at Open House, watched French Films, done community service and enjoyed other cultural enrichment opportunities.
