BHS Girls Crowned South Sectional Champions
The undefeated Barnstable HIgh School girls volleyball team (21-0) made quick business of opponent North Attleboro last night at Pembroke High School, 3-0, and in so doing captured the Red Raiders' 17th Division 1 South Sectional championship since 1989.

Tom Turco's trophy case became crowded along time ago.
The word on the street is that plans are in the works to build the 24-year Barnstable High School girls volleyball coach his own wing in the school to house the hardware that his teams perennially bring home.
Well, not really, but if there was such a plan, no one would be surprised at the news given that the Red & White once again wore the Division 1 South Sectional Championship title crown last night after defeating North Attleboro, 3-0, at Pembroke High School.

Turco's senior stalwarts, Kaylee Deluga and Regan Bristol, proved to be the cornerstones of the Red & White attack last night, with Deluga's 11 kills and Bristol's 13 kills. Once again, junior Kayla Crook delivered 37 assists on the heels of a 31-assist South Semifinals game vs. New Bedford and it was at least Crook's fifth game this season with 30 or more assists.
North Attleboro's season comes to a close at 17-3.
