Cape Cod Healthcare received an accreditation award for Cape Cod Hospital's cardiac rehabilitation program.
BARNSTABLE, MA — Cape Cod Healthcare received an accreditation award for Cape Cod Hospital's cardiac rehabilitation program.
The accreditation came from the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation.
Cardiovascular and pulmonary rehabilitation programs are designed to help people recover from heart attacks, coronary artery bypass graft surgery and pulmonary problems.

"Having met rigorous standards and review, including performance measurements that represent meaningful outcomes, the Cape Cod Hospital Cardiac Rehabilitation program has been officially recognized by AACVPR for its commitment to improving the quality of life of patients by enhancing standards of care," a Cape Cod Healthcare spokesperson said in a statement.
The Cape Cod Hospital certification is valid for three years, and the program joins Falmouth Hospital in receiving this industry accreditation.
