Cape Cod Hospital Coronavirus Admissions Continue Decline

Cape Cod Hospital admissions for the coronavirus are down 94 percent since April.

BARNSTABLE, MA — Since July 12, Cape Cod Hospital has had no more than two patients admitted for the coronavirus at any one time, the single-greatest one-week stretch the hospital has seen since the COVID-19 crisis started in March.

As of Sunday, the hospital was treating one coronavirus patient. According to the Department of Public Health, the worst day for COVID-19 hospitalizations at Cape Cod Hospital was April 21 when 27 patients were in the hospital. That's a 96.3 percent drop in coronavirus hospitalizations since April.

Here's a chart showing all Cape Cod Healthcare hospitalizations (the line at top), plus the total for each hospital. The chart only goes back to April 20 because that's when the state Department of Public Health began releasing data on individual hospitals.
