Cape Cod Man Gets Life For Wife's Murder
Christopher Fratantonio was found guilty of fatally stabbing his wife, a Barnstable HS teacher, and sending photos of her body to friends.

BARNSTABLE, MA – A Cape Cod man found guilty of first degree murder in the February 2017 stabbing death of his wife has received the mandatory sentence of life without parole. A jury on Friday found that 37-year-old Christopher Fratantonio repeatedly stabbed his wife, 35-year-old Mary "Molly" Fratantonio, while she was in bed at their Cotuit home.
The couple's 6-year-old daughter and 2-year-old son were home at the time of the murder. Fratantonio sent photos of his wife's body to friends saying he killed her and needed someone to take care of their kids.
Fratantonio told police his wife was "cruel, demanding and belittling," and his lawyer claimed he suffers from mental health issues and PTSD as a result of child sex abuse, Boston.com reported. His wife's family described him as "controlling."
