Cape Cod Man Says He'd Like Cop To 'Get It Next': Police
Referencing the recent deaths of two MA cops, the man called out an officer who stopped him, police said. He now faces even more charges.

BARNSTABLE, MA – A Cape Cod man was arrested last week after referencing the recent deaths of two Massachusetts police officers on social media and saying he hoped the officer who pulled him over would "get it next," police said. David Luna, 48, of Barnstable, was stopped July 17 around 12:46 p.m. after allegedly failing to yield to an ambulance.
Police said Luna left his car and directed an expletive-filled tirade at the officer, despite being told to stay in his car. He returned to his car after the officer called for backup and continued to "verbally berate" the officers, according to police.
Later that day police were notified of a social media post, allegedly made by Luna, in which he complained about the traffic stop. He called out the officer and made the "get it next" comment in reference to the murders of Yarmouth Police Sgt. Sean Gannon and Weymouth Police Sgt. Michael Chesna, police said.

Luna was arrested July 19 and charged with intimidation of a witness, disorderly conduct and threatening to commit a crime. During his arraignment in Barnstable District Court, he allegedly "verbally accosted" the Barnstable prosecutor and was ordered held without bail.
Following his alleged behavior at the arraignment, authorities added new charges at his dangerousness hearing on Monday. He was again ordered held without bail until his next court date in August.
