Cape Cod Resident Struck By Car, Flown To Boston Hospital
A Friday crash sent one pedestrian to a Boston hospital for treatment of serious injuries. What to know.
YARMOUTH, MA — A Cape Cod resident was flown to Boston Medical Center on Friday after being hit by a car.
On Friday at about 3:55 p.m., Yarmouth fire and police officials responded to the area of 940 Route 28.
When they arrived to the pedestrian, they determined them to be a "high-priority" patient suffering from multi-system trauma and required rapid treatment and transport to a trauma center, officials said.

Paramedics and EMTs treated the patient, providing "Advanced Life Support both on scene and while en route to meet Boston MedFlight at Cape Cod Gateway Airport in Hyannis."
They were then flown to Boston Medical Center for trauma and tertiary care, officials said.

The crash caused delays on the roadway, police said. An investigation is still ongoing as of Friday.
