PROVINCETOWN, MA — Proof of COVID-19 vaccination will soon be required to enter certain indoor spaces in Provincetown, Town Manager Alex Morse said.

Starting Dec. 27, adults will be required to show proof of vaccination to enter restaurants with indoor dining, bars, nightclubs, gyms and entertainment venues. Morse said forms of acceptable proof include a vaccination card from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), a picture of your CDC card, a picture of official immunization records or any other COVID-19 vaccine verification app.

Employees working in those spaces will also be required to be vaccinated. Unvaccinated employees will have a short grace period to complete vaccination. Employees must have their first dose by Jan. 15 and second by Feb. 15. Morse said businesses are responsible for checking proof of vaccination and posting a notice about the COVID-19 vaccine requirement.
