Cape Teen Boy Suffers Serious Injuries In Hit-And-Run Crash
Harwich police asked for the public's help trying to find a pickup truck driver that drove away after hitting a 15-year-old boy.
HARWICH, MA — A 15-year-old boy suffered serious injuries after getting hit by a truck in Harwich in a hit-and-run crash.
The crash happened around 1:15 a.m., Monday on Lower County Road in the area of Brooks Road. Police said the teen was walking on the sidewalk when he was hit by a dark-colored truck.
Emergency officials took the teen to Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis, and he was later transferred to a Boston area hospital. Police said he suffered serious injuries, but they weren't life-threatening.

Police described the driver's vehicle as a dark-colored pickup truck and possibly a Ford F-150. The driver was traveling with no headlights on and was heading eastbound towards Harwichport, according to police. Police said the truck may have damage to its front-end and the passenger side tire rim.
