Dedham Community House Summer Camp: A Summer Kids Look Forward To

Dedham Community House Summer Camp sits in the heart of Dedham and has served local families for more than 100 years. We offer a full-day program for children entering Kindergarten through 6th grade.

Each day is active, varied, and fun. Campers stay engaged from start to finish:
Daily swim in our outdoor pool
Archery
Arts and crafts
Makerspace projects
Science activities
Rec room games and indoor play
Group games and special events

Our staff show up prepared and engaged. They know each camper by name. They create a space where kids feel included, supported, and ready to participate.

Counselor-in-Training (CIT) Program
We offer a free CIT program for students entering 8th and 9th grade.

CITs gain real experience working with younger campers:
Assist with daily activities
Help lead games
Act as role models
They build skills that matter:
Communication
Responsibility
Teamwork
Problem-solving

Each CIT receives guidance from experienced staff. The focus stays on growth, leadership, and hands-on learning.

Season runs June 8 through August 21

“Lent is a forty-day season leading up to Easter when many families embrace traditional fasting foods rooted in the Mediterranean diet,” says Iliades. “The dishes enjoyed during this time — from beans and vegetables to seafood and olive oil — have been part of Greek culinary traditions for centuries.”

During the Lenten season, many Christians avoid meat and dairy, turning instead to a vibrant variety of Mediterranean dishes that are naturally plant-based and deeply rooted in Greek culinary tradition.

At Greek International Food Market, customers can enjoy a wide selection of traditional homemade Lenten meals including:

Greek string beans (fasolakia)
