CCCC Names New Executive Director for College's Educational Foundation
Cape Cod Community College taps the former Executive Director of the Cape's Lighthouse Charter School in Orleans, and former Director of Development for Cape Abilities for the job.

The Cape Cod Community College Educational Foundation Board of Directors selected Kathy McNamara, former Executive Director of the Cape's Lighthouse Charter School in Orleans, and former Director of Development for Cape Abilities to be the organization’s next Executive Director, the college announced in a press release.
The Brewster resident brings to the job a diverse background in educational administration, non-profit management, and higher education public affairs. In her most recent management role she was instrumental in building new community collaborations, raising funds, and securing a new building for the Lighthouse Charter School. Her most recent Massachusetts higher education experience came as Director of Public Affairs for the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, where she served from 1995 to 2004 as the institution’s spokesperson and chief advisor on communications and external relations.
The new Executive Director sees this College as a "unique value proposition" for donors to support with their resources, believing strongly that, "individuals, businesses, and foundations - when cultivated and presented with examples of the College's success and values - will support the needs and vision of the College." She’s looking forward to bringing her enthusiasm and experience to the Educational Foundation’s long history of successful fund-raising for the institution, "My heart is in education and I'm thrilled to have this opportunity to further the important mission of the College," she concluded.
