Child Advocacy Organization to Hold Abuse Training
Children's Cove will provide professionals training in detecting abuse.

Representatives of the Cape and Islands child advocacy center Children’s Cove will host a training for professionals who work with children, according to a press release.
This training will include signs and symptoms of child sexual abuse, appropriate response including mandated reporting and some prevention. Attendees will include school principals, assistant principals, athletic directors, coaches, and after school activity staff.
The training objective is to heighten awareness of child sexual abuse for professionals who work in direct contact with children in various capacities and assist in identifying signs and symptoms of child sexual abuse and offer some prevention strategies.

The training will be held on Feb. 1 from 9 am to 10:30 am at Sandwich High School.
