Community Rallys Around Suspended High School Principal: Patch PM

Dozens of residents called for the reinstatement of Barnstable High School Principal Patrick Clark at Wednesday's school committee meeting and demanded reasons for why he was suspended.
Superintendent Meg Mayo-Brown Mayo-Brown never gave a reason for why she suspended Clark on Sept. 25 said she legally cannot say without Clark's permission. But Mayo-Brown's reasoning didn't stop dozens of residents, including students, from showing their support for Clark at Wednesday's meeting.

"Principal Clark is the heart and soul of our school," Barnstable High School junior Paul Sullivan said in an email that was read during public comment. "Our school is not the same without his energy. I really want him to return soon."

Braintree School Committee Member Facing Recall, Apologizes For Social Media Post
Several residents want to recall a school committee member over a Facebook post that organizers said disparages an elderly veteran.
School committee member Kelly Cobb-Lemire, who was elected to a four-year term on the committee last November, apologized for her comments. Cobb-Lemire volunteers for a local food pantry and makes deliveries to Braintree residents. Her Facebook post last month stemmed from her volunteer work.
Local Business Donates Tables For Outdoor Learning: Cape Cod Hero

Cape Cod company Concord Electric Supply donated extra spools that were converted into tables for the Laurel School in Brewster to use for outdoor learning amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Branch manager Gustavo Rosa said the donation idea came when one of his customer, E.F. Winslow told him about the Laurel School's need for outdoor tables.
And in no time, the branch quickly collected four large spools and dropped them off at the school to be turned into outdoor tables. The tables are being used in outdoor working spaces to help students practice safe social distancing.
