Donalson Leads Red Raiders Over Taunton Tigers

Senior co-captain Rogetta Donalson poured in a career-high 29 points last night, accounting for more than half of Barnstable's offense, in a 48-47 victory over the Taunton Tigers on the road.

Simply incredible.

In what may have been the best performance to date in her four-year varsity career, Barnstable High School senior co-captain Rogetta Donalson poured in a remarkable 29 points last night and paced the Red Raiders to a nailbiting, 48-47 win over the host Taunton Tigers.

Donalson's 29 points were the most she's ever scored in a single game for the Red & White and her output accounted for 60.42% of her team's total offense for the night. She also tacked on seven (7) rebounds.

Barnstable is now 4-0 in the Old Colony League and 13-2 overall under second-year head coach George Bent.

Donalson has well over 600 points in her career, but it could not be confirmed last night whether she's near the vaunted 1,000-career points milestone. No Red Raider girl has scored more than 29 points in a single game since February 17, 2008 when Morgan Kendrew scored 32 points versus Winthrop in the 2008 Comcast Invitational Tournament at Boston College High School.
