Drug Distribution Charges For Cape Cod Duo
Two people are charged with intent to distribute fentanyl and crack cocaine on Cape Cod.
SANDWICH, MA — Two Forestdale residents face drug distribution charges after an arrest on Cape Cod last week, officials announced.
On Sept. 27 at about 5 p.m., a Sandwich Police Officer observed a vehicle traveling on Route 130 in Sandwich with no inspection sticker, police said. The officer activated their emergency lights and got behind the car.
The vehicle took a quick right-hand turn onto the Service Road where the officer followed and eventually conducted the stop. The operator was identified as Kyla Johnathan.

Jonathan showed signs of possibly operating under the influence of narcotics, and the officer also saw a "white powdery substance" on her clothing while speaking with her.
The passenger in the car was identified as Dustin Pratt.

Sandwich Police K9 Oakley was requested to the scene, and alerted police to the presence of drugs within the vehicle and on Jonathan.
A search of Jonathan confirmed that she was in possession of crack cocaine. During the search of the vehicle, officers located two bags of a fentanyl.
As a result of the investigation, Pratt was arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute class A (Fentanyl) and possession of class B drug (crack cocaine).
Johnathan was arrested and charged with OUI drugs, possession with intent to distribute class A (Fentanyl), possession of class B drug (crack cocaine) and no inspection sticker.
