Join Professor Gil Newton, author, ecologist, and one of the original founders of Barnstable Land Trust, to learn about the salt marsh ecosystem and the flora and fauna that thrive there. View sea pickles, fiddler crabs and coffee bean snails! Follow the search for egrets, Great Blue Herons and the elusive Eastern box turtle.  Learn the history of Cape Cod salt works.  Book signing to follow!

An optional purchase of his field guide "The Ecology of a Salt Marsh: A Tour of Crocker Neck" is available at the end of the talk for $12, with proceeds benefitting the Barnstable Land Trust. 

Parking is available at the Museum lot.
There is a $5 charge for this talk. Optional field guide available for $12.  This lecture is gauged for all ages.
