First Tee Program a Birdie
From the Town Manager's desk: The development program was a success for fourth and fifth graders.
Seventy-six fourth and fifth graders from the Barnstable Horace Mann Charter School participated in the 1st Annual Tee Championship Tournament last Thursday.
The First Tee Program is designed to impact the lives of students by providing educational programs that promote character development and life-enhancing values through the game of golf.
There are nine core values emphasized throughout the competition which includes honesty, integrity, sportsmanship, respect, confidence, responsibility, perseverance, courtesy and judgment.

Mr. Richard Aliberti of the Town of Barnstable's Golf Committee and Mr. David Miller of the Olde Barnstable Fairgrounds and Hyannis Golf Course Members group were on hand for the festivities.
The Members provided tee shirts for all of the participants. Congratulations to everyone who made the event such a success!
