Freedom Boat Club Adds Charlestown Location

A new Charlestown location for Freedom Boat Club gives members living north of Boston easier access to Boston Harbor.

Freedom Boat Club (FBC) announces the world’s largest members-only boating club has secured a new location for all your boating needs, located just north of Boston in Charlestown, MA. This Hub neighborhood makes it 10 locations for The Carrick Group, Freedom Boat Club’s largest franchisee. The Carrick Group now has 10 locations in Massachusetts, including Boston, Beverly, Quincy, Hingham, Scituate, Chatham, Falmouth, East Dennis and West Dennis.

Freedom Boat Club’s new Charlestown site marks the third addition of a new location in only five months. Previously, the club opened its popular Chatham location in the summer of 2015 for its members. They will also be relocating from Danversport to a new location at Beverly Port Marina in the spring of 2016.

“This new Charlestown site will provide Freedom Boat Club members living north of Boston easier access to Boston Harbor without having to travel into downtown Boston.” says Freedom Boat Club franchise co-owner Matt Carrick. “We now have 4 locations and over 40 boats on Boston Harbor!”

Carrick says the Charlestown location will start 2016 with 5 brand new boats including several Key Wests and a brand new Bennington pontoon boat.

Meanwhile, along the East Coast, a new franchise debuted in New Smyrna Beach, Florida this past June. There are now more than 30 FBC franchises in the state of Florida alone. Other 2015 recently-launched franchise locations include Fort Lauderdale, Stuart and Deerfield Beach, Florida, along with Brick, New Jersey, St. Joseph, Michigan and Huron, Ohio.

Additional new Freedom Boat Club locations confirmed to open either later this year or for the 2016 season include Lake George, New York, Deep River, Connecticut, along with Miami and a second corporate-club location in Ft. Myers Beach.

“The idea behind Freedom Boat Club has really taken off. I have a lot of members who are excited to fully take advantage of the local site as well as the many opportunities available to them around the country,” Carrick says.

About Freedom Boat Club Boston and Cape Cod:

Freedom Boat Club members enjoy the boating lifestyle without the hassles and high costs of owning a boat. Founded in 1989 in Sarasota, Florida, the nation’s largest members-only boat club pays for docking, storage, insurance, maintenance, training and cleaning. Members need only pay for the cost of the fuel they use after a day of recreation or relaxation on the water. Carrick Group FBC members get unlimited access to each of the 10 locations under their umbrella in the Bay State - from Beverly to Chatham, Cape Cod. Members also get free access to any of the more than 90 other clubs across the country, where boating has never been as convenient and care-free as it for Freedom Boat Club members.
