Hurricane Harvey: Cape Cod Coast Guard Makes 14 Rescues
Cape Cod Coast Guard crews were dispatched to Texas to help rescue those affected by Hurricane Harvey.
Cape Cod Coast Guard crews were dispatched to Texas over the weekend to help those affected by Hurricane Harvey. As of Sunday, Cape Cod Coast Guard crews conducted 14 rescues in the Houston area, officials said. The Cape Cod contingent deployed two Jayhawk helicopters, an Ocean Sentry plane and 18 crew members to the Aviation Training Center Mobile in Alabama to assist with search and rescue operations. Also, nine other Cape Cod Coast Guard members were dispatched, officials said.

At least eight people have died in Texas from Hurricane Harvey. Mass evacuations are underway while Harvey regroups for another landfall Tuesday.
