Hyannis Woman Killed In Stoughton Crash

A Cape Cod woman was driving on Route 24 in Stoughton when she was involved in a single car accident.

STOUGHTON, MA — A Hyannis, Massachusetts woman is dead after a single-car crash on Route 24 in Stoughton, Massachusetts State Police said.

Multiple media outlets report that the woman involved in the crash was Suzete Mendes, 37. She was taken to an area hospital after the crash, but eventually died.

Mendes was the only person in the vehicle during the crash, which state police said occurred around 8:30 p.m. Officials said Mendes was driving in the right lane of the highway when her car left the roadway, hitting a guardrail and rolling over.

The crash involving Mendes is one of five being investigated by the state police, according to CBS Boston.

This includes a crash in Falmouth, which left an 80-year-old woman dead after her moped collided with an SUV.
