Kevin Spacey Accuser's Texts Shown In New Court Filing
A recently released filing details texts between the then-18-year-old and his girlfriend on the night of the alleged groping.

NANTUCKET, MA — A recently released court filing revealed text messages by a man accusing Kevin Spacey of groping him at a Nantucket bar. Spacey was charged with felony indecent assault and battery after former Boston TV anchor Heather Unruh publicly accused him of groping her then-18-year-old son at the Club Car restaurant in July 2016.
Spacey has pleaded not guilty to the charge. Defense attorneys say texts between the man and his girlfriend show the man "continued to accept drinks" from Spacey after "boasting" that the actor had touched him, according to court documents cited by The Boston Globe.
Texts include "he's grabbed my [expletive] like 8 times," "Jesus Christ he reached down my pants" and "help me" after saying he was drunk and the actor had repeatedly bought him drinks, The Globe reported. But some of the other texts, like "I got the autographs and one hell of a stout" — which he corrected to "story," show that the accuser and his girlfriend "appear to be amused" by the story, according to Spacey's lawyers.

Earlier this month, a judge granted the defense access to the accuser's phone after Spacey's lawyers argued exculpatory texts were deleted. Attorney Mitchell Garabedian, who is representing Spacey's accuser, said this week neither the man nor his parents can find the phone and they are looking for backups.
A judge ruled the phone must be turned over by July 8.
