Lisa Theoharidis joins Bank of Cape Cod team

Lisa Theoharidis has joined the growing team at Bank of Cape Cod.

Timothy T. Telman, President and CEO of the bank, said Theoharidis is working on corporate and shareholder-related issues and projects. Bank of Cape Cod’s holding company, New England Bancorp, has close to 400 shareholders. In addition to those duties, she is also working closely with the finance department.

 “Lisa is an excellent addition to our growing team and will serve as a terrific liaison between New England Bancorp, and our shareholders,” Telman said. “She brings a wealth of financial experience to the bank as well as a long-standing commitment to the Cape community.”

Theoharidis is a graduate of Boston College where she earned a degree in accounting. She worked for a number of years at the accounting firm of Coopers and Lybrand where she was an audit manager focusing on the high tech and insurance industries. She also worked at Software 2000 in Hyannis as a controller and one of the directors of finance.

Theoharidis said she is thrilled to be working for Bank of Cape Cod and looks forward to the challenges ahead.

“I knew the people and respected them and I wanted to be a part of something connected to the community,” she said. “I didn’t want to be a cog in the wheel. I want to be challenged and work with interesting people.”

She is active in many community organizations, volunteering her time with Our Lady of Victory parish in Centerville, with the Cotuit Kettleers Cape league team and for 13 years with the Pan-Mass Challenge. She and her husband, Dr. Peter Theoharidis, live in Centerville and have three children. In her spare time she enjoys cooking, cycling and “staying busy.”
