MA DCR To Open 3 Cape Cod Beaches For Memorial Day Weekend
Memorial Day weekend is almost here, and the Department of Conservation and Recreation will open beaches starting Friday.
CAPE COD, MA — Memorial Day weekend on Cape Cod signals the unofficial beginning of summer. That, of course, comes with some headaches for year-long residents, but also brings some good, too.
Among that list of positives, the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation announced this week that, starting Friday, the department-controlled beaches will begin to open. This includes three beaches on Cape Cod.
They are:

- Nickerson State Park, Brewster
- Scusset Beach State Reservation, Sagamore
- South Cape Beach State Park, Mashpee
South Cape Beach has been open since May 18, but Nickerson and Scusset both open on Friday, meaning parking fees also return.
Prices vary based on which beach you're at. For Massachusetts residents, Nickerson will cost you $8 for a daily parking fee, $14 at Scusset and $12 at South Cape Beach.

Non-locals will pay $40 at South Cape and Scusset, and they'll need to fork over $30 at Nickerson.
