POLL: What Impact Will the Expansion of Sturgis High School Have on Barnstable High School?

Sturgis High School will expand from 425 students to 800 next fall.

The new Sturgis High School campus on West Main Street in Hyannis will be ready for students next fall. The school is expected to enroll 800 students, almost double its size.

Sturgis was a top performer in the MCAS and rated one of the top high schools in the state. 

As reported during the last few years, growing enrollment at Barnstable High School is a continuing challenge and priority for public school administration.
