Power Outages Close Cape Cod Healthcare Doctor's Offices, Labs

BARNSTABLE, MA — Widespread power outages across the region closed Cape Cod Healthcare's doctor's offices, urgent care centers and labs Wednesday, following a n'oreaster that brought winds that reached close to 95 mph on the Cape.

Cape Cod Hospital, Falmouth Hospital, Heritage at Falmouth and the Visiting Nurses Association of Cape Cod are still open.

More than 450,000 customers — almost entirely from the South Shore to the tip of the Cape — were without power Wednesday morning, according to the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency (MEMA).

That included 78 percent of Barnstable homes and businesses.
