Shark Sighting Suspends Swimming At Cape Cod Beach
The beach is temporarily closed in the same area where researchers filmed a close encounter with a shark last week.

WELLFLEET, MA – Swimming was suspended at a Wellfleet beach Monday after a great white shark was spotted in the area. The Atlantic White Shark Conservancy's Sharktivity map reported the sighting around 1:40 p.m. near Marconi Beach.
The beach will be closed for about an hour.
Researchers encountered a great white shark off the coast of Wellfleet last week while attempting to film sharks underwater. Watch the shark leap out of the water beneath a startled biologist's feet in a video shared by the Atlantic White Shark Conservancy Monday morning.
