Spice Bust at Cape Groceries

YARMOUTH, MA — Cape Groceries in Yarmouth was recently raided and the owner was arrested on charges of selling spice, a potentially deadly synthetic drug.

Abdul Rashid, 56, was charged with drug possession and distribution.

Police said they found 465 packs of spice worth over $9,300. They said they also found Adderall, crack pipe filters, and flavored tobacco products. Such tobacco products are banned in Yarmouth, police said.

Police said additional charges are likely.

Rashid was placed in custody pending an arraignment.
