Steamship Authority Cancels More Boats Monday
It's been a rough summer for the service, which has been plagued by breakdowns.

HYANNIS, MA – The Steamship Authority canceled two ferries Monday, the 2:45 p.m. from Nantucket to Hyannis and a noon boat from Hyannis to Nantucket. The service said "mechanical issues" were behind the cancellations.
It's been a rough summer for the Cape Cod ferry service, which has been plagued by a series of breakdowns. The agency attempted to pin the troubles on a RI-based contractor hired to repair its boats, sparking a back-and-forth between the two companies over who was responsible for the myriad of issues.
A fast-moving fire also broke out over the weekend at one of its lots, destroying a bus and damaging 14 other vehicles.
