HYANNIS, MA — Officials with Cape Cod Healthcare said they will close the new coronavirus testing site at Cape Cod Community College Friday because of severe weather in the forecast.

Forecasters expect "widespread power outages" in parts of Massachusetts Friday as a strong ocean storm generates wicked winds and the potential for coastal flooding.

Winds gusts as strong as 60 mph are expected on Cape Cod and the Islands, where most of the outages are expected. The National Weather Service warned of the potential of downed trees and power lines.
