What He’s Proud Of:  “I'm in my 28th year of teaching--20 years at BHS and 8 years at BIS. For the past four years in a row, EVERY SINGLE ONE of my students has passed the MCAS test.  I'm very proud of that.”

What He’s Up To Outside the Classroom: “My young adult novel, ‘Riding on Duke's Train,’ will be published by Leapfrog Press in December.  Already, schools across the country--from Oakland, CA to Bridgeport, CT--have adopted the novel into their curriculum.

“My second novel, ‘Little Fred and Louis,’ about Louis Armstrong, will be published by Leapfrog Press in December 2012.”
