Key to Awesomeness: In a great email, Ian described a lot of the activities he has done as a Cub Scout, including being presented with the highest award a Cub Scout can receive, the Arrow of Light award: “I had to do many different things to earn the award, from learning about first aid and citizenship to studying nature and science. And, of course, we do lots of outdoor stuff too, like hiking and camping.”

In addition to those activities, Ian and his Cub Scout pack “...went to the Hyannis Fire Station and participated in the 9/11 Memorial ceremony. We presented the Chief with two special flags, one had the names of all the victims on it and the other had all the names of heroes who died trying to save them.”

Ian’s favorite sports are hockey, baseball and basketball, and he has a little brother, Jared, who also plays hockey and can’t wait to be a Cub Scout!
