Declan is on one of the Centerville Elementary School's Destination Imagination Rising Stars teams. He loved going to the DI tournament in March with the team! Their challenge was to write and produce a play called "Big Bug's Bad Day".
Declan was an army ant and a grumpy old man who didn't want any bugs on his lawn.
Declan loves swimming, riding his bike, playing basketball in the winter and just started soccer. Since he loves being outdoors, he is very interested in conservation and the environment and helps out with all our recycling and is in charge of our backyard bird (and squirrel) feeders. When he isn't making some new Lego creation, he is looking for some way to help people and animals.
Nominator Jessica Hunt is the Education Facilitator at Joyfully Learning, where she teaches homeschoolers and families with education concerns. Besides her two kids, the family also consists of a dog, a guinea pig, and a beehive!
