19 New Massachusetts Laws Signed Into Effect

See what bills Gov. Baker recently signed, including several granting more alcohol and liquor licenses to towns across the state.

BEACON HILL, MA — Gov. Charlie Baker has signed 19 bills into law since Aug. 23. Odds are you haven't heard of more than one or two of them.

Don't worry, none are likely to have a major impact on your day-to-day life. Many of them are relatively small-scale and pursuant to a specific municipality. But some carry more weight. We have excluded the seven bills signed establishing sick leave banks for various state employees.

We are providing some context for some of the new laws, but you can always click the bill number for more information right from the source. (Subscribe to your local Patch for more news.)
