31 MA Bills Signed Into Law In November: See The List

BOSTON, MA — November was a busy month in state legislature, and not just due to the midterms. Both before Gov. Charlie Baker won reelection and after, he signed off on a total of 31 bills resulting in new or amended laws this month.

Many of the new laws are pursuant to just one municipality, while others have wider impacts. Take a look below at the bills signed. You can click the bill number at the beginning for more information on what exactly it means.

Nov. 2

H.4459 - An act authorizing Danvers to grant 10 additional licenses for the sale of all alcoholic beverages to be drunk on the premises.

H.4464 - An act revising the charter for Melrose.

H.4703 - An act authorizing WIlliamsburg to continue the employment of fire department members Alan Everett and Robert LaPointe.

H.4848 - An act authorizing Medford to designate a check-off on its municipal property tax bills.

H.4928 - An act relative to a certain retirement benefit to be paid to the spouse of fallen Weymouth Police Officer Michael Chesna.

H.3217 - An act providing for the annual appointment of a treasurer of the Lancaster Sewer District.

S.2665 - An act validating certain proceedings of Concord.

H.4660 - An act relative to a real property exemption for disabled persons in Westford.

H.4847 - An act authorizing Brookline to raise the income threshold for senior real property tax deferments.

H.4849 - An act authorizing Newton to amend the income qualifications for a certain tax deferral program.

H.4746 - An act relative to the financial condition of the Pioneer Valley Regional School District.

H.4309 - An act authorizing Somerville to offer an exemption for certain owner occupied residential properties

H.4506 - An act authorizing Dukes County to borrow funds to pay costs of wastewater treatment facility improvements, capital improvements, and capital equipment at the Martha's Vineyard Airport.

H.4892 - An act authorizing the Board of Selectmen in Arlington to place upon a town ballot a question to authorize the Board to issue one additional license for the sale of all alcoholic beverages not to be drunk on the premises.

S.2668 - An act establishing a sick leave bank for Richard Maynard, an employee of the trial court.

H.4916 - An act relative to real property tax deferrals in Arlington.

H.4945 - An act establishing a sick leave bank for Katelyn Giliberti, an employee of the Department of Public Health.
