41 Bills Signed By Gov. Baker In Past 2 Months

Gov. Charlie Baker's pen has been busy since Feb. 1. He's signed 41 bills that have come across his desk, making or amending laws across the Commonwealth. Some are major - didn't you know March is now Massachusetts Maple Month?! - while most are pursuant to just one municipality.

Take a look below at the bills signed. You can click the bill number at the beginning for more information on what it means. We are excluding the establishment of four sick leave banks.

Feb. 8

• S.2154 - An act exempting certain positions in the Adams Police Department from the Civil Service Law.
• H.4016 - An act authorizing the appointment of special police officers in Malden.
• H.4088 - An act further regulating the Massachusetts Port Authority Community Advisory Committee.
• H.3360 - An act designating Mayas Asian American Pacific Islander Month.

Feb. 9

• H.4039 - An act further regulating certain activities of the Lake Quinsigamond Commission.
• H.3958 - An act further regulation the use of funds in the MWRA capital infrastructure fund in Stoughton.

Feb. 13

• H.4147 - An act providing the terms of certain bonds to be issued by the Commonwealth.
• H.4029 - An act abolishing the Board of License Commissioners in Salisbury.

Feb. 16

• H.4160 - An act making appropriations for FY18 to provide for supplementing certain existing appropriations and for certain other activities and projects.
• H.3860 - An act increasing the exemption for residential property in Provincetown.
• S.2102 - An act authorizing the Berkshire County Regional Housing Authority to convey a certain parcel of land in Sheffield to the Great Barrington Housing Authority.
• H.3942 - An act establishing a residency requirement for the second and subsequent terms of the Town Manager of Ipswich.

• H.3978 - An act providing for the purchase of the Milford Water Company by the Town of Milford.
• H.4055 - An act relative to the dissolution of the Milford Water Company and the acquisition of its assets by the Town of Milford.

• H.3953 - An act relative to the sewer construction and private way maintenance and improvement fund in the Town of Barnstable.
• H.4126 - An act exempting Nicholas L. Martone from the maximum age requirement for firefighters in the North Andover.
• H.3873 - An act further regulating the warrant process for the annual Town Meeting in Weston.
• H.4031 - An act designating a certain bridge in Fall River as the Ronald Costa Bridge.
